Getting More Cover

The world is officially more receptive to the the negotiation methods contained in Getting More. Thank you to everyone who has shown support. The book hit stores on December 28th and we have now heard news that the book is #1 on USA Today’s Business Bestseller List, #1 on The Wall Street Journal’s Business Hardcover Bestseller List, and #1 on the FINS from Wall Street Journal List of Books to Read in 2011. What’s more is we will be on The New York Times Hardcover Advice & Misc. Bestseller List on January 16th, occupying the # 5 position.

This is all happening because of the keen interest of those who have taken the course and of those who believe there’s a better way of dealing with others, both around the corner and around the globe. We’ve seen evidence of this interest in the success stories you’ve shared and continue to share with the Getting More community. Your anecdotes show us time and time again: this stuff works.

So a new model of human interaction is starting to take hold, one that values perception and emotion over leverage and threats. A model that does away with hackneyed buzz-terms like “win-win” and “BATNA.” It appears that people are ready for a more effective way of dealing with others.
